“Words for sale!” calls the Wordman. “Ten-dollar words!
Discombobulated! Fisticuffs! Quixotic!”
I wish I could have a new word.
But I only have 50 cents.
“Anything cheap, sir?”
“Final sale. Past their best-by date—groovy, mellow, hep, diddly-squat … ”
Groovy! I grab it.
He throws in neato for free.

Update, March 20: Out of 756 entries, I came in 52nd place. Woo-hoo!
If first place is gold, second is silver, and third is bronze … I’m not even sure what material would be used for 52nd. Are there even 49 more metals?
